The Junior League is the primary community partner for the coordination, organization and development of a community garden in Boca Raton. This garden will help provide environmental sustainability, recognize the importance of the environment, a sense of community and self-sufficiency. On Friday, April 22, the City of Boca Raton and Jr. League of Boca Raton broke ground on the Community Garden. The garden is located at the corner of NW 2nd Avenue and NW 4th Street, near downtown Boca Raton.

The preparations are beginning before the planting starts in October. When the vegetables are harvesting a year from now, 10% of the fresh produce will be donated to Boca Helping Hands. Whole Foods will contribute a dime to the community garden each time customers use a reusable shopping bag.

The plots are no larger than 4ft. by 12ft and will cost $80 to rent for the October-to-May growing season with free watering.

You can personalize a brick to support the JLBR Community Garden project. Proceeds from the bricks will be used to help build the garden. Your support will help the community garden project, plus you will have your name or company name etched in stone in the garden!
